“The Puppet Masters only concern is how well they can manipulate their marionettes.” Steven Redhead
Since about the middle of January, I have been hearing about the Coronavirus outbreak. Towards the end of that month, I heard a molecular biologist talk about the virus. She referenced an article in “The Lancet” published January 24th. That article studied people in Wuhan who had contracted the virus, some of whom had no connection to the wet market. She also stated that the researchers found that some parts of the RNA sequence of the virus had been genetically manipulated.
I found the article in the Lancet and read it but could not find the information about the genetic mutation of the virus. She may have referred to another article but I missed the reference. Since then, I have heard varying scientists talk about where they believe the virus initiated. Their opinions are varied and I believe many of them are working in good faith. Others, I am not so sure about. What concerns me in the scientific community is the existence of a hidden money trail. Who are the researchers receiving grant monies from and how does that influence their opinions? In other words, who is really pulling the strings? It is a legitimate question and one we should ask when we evaluate the information we are being given.
“If you have the ability to see the things behind the scenes, then you have the greatest talent one can ever have because there is almost always something else behind the scenes.” Mehmet Murat Idan
As we move forward in the process of dealing with this virus on a societal basis, we need to be able to identify its origins. We will then know what we are really dealing with. Is it a man-made virus or is it a virus that just happened to be transmitted from a horseshoe bat to a human? This virus is exponentially contagious, able to spread around the world in record time, kill our most vulnerable citizens and destroy our economies. We have a responsibility to find out the truth when dealing with something so insidious.
Science is supposed to be based on facts. Research into the RNA sequence of this virus should produce similar results no matter where the research is done. Unfortunately, after listening to different scientists, that does not seem to be the case. Because of that, we must seek to find out who is pulling the strings so we can know which information is the most reliable. Then we will be in the position to draw informed conclusions.
I agree that it is very confusing. Every day there is someone else speaking what they say is the real truth. We will probably never know the full truth & learn to be ok with that.

I so agree with you. I hear such different information and I really want to know the truth. Thanks for reading this post! ❤

I agree. I’m someone who seeks to understand before I can fully process. Yet, this whole pandemic situation leaves me with more questions than answers. It seems we may never know what’s truly going on until we reach heaven. This is a big test of my faith in God. Will I live in fear? Or will I live day to day, trusting that He’s big enough to handle whatever is REALLY going on in the world?

We will choose faith and trust Him each day. That is our only option whether there is a pandemic afoot or not!

Too many versions of the truth and sensationalism by the media.
How I long for the norm of before! Social distancing on my own terms. Sadly, this seems to be the new norm for at least a year. Our president gave a very moving speech just now, one i posted on my blog.
I think Val you would find it interesting.

Hi Valerie,
I love your thinking!! Whenever reading studies or journals, it’s important to follow the money. Seems some of the research funded by specific groups (special interest groups, you might say) dictate the outcome of the study/its findings.
Why not let the truth speak for itself? It’s the only thing that truly benefits us all. 🙂
Thank you for writing this! 🙂

I’m with you! I think research should be done by those who can’t benefit by the findings, yet who would pay the researcher’s wages, then? Tricky situation. It’s impossible to know who to believe.

We should dig deeper if we can get the information. Sometimes the info is there if we dig deeper, sometimes it is hidden!

This is what is hurting us all the most. So much agenda…I pray we are all protected from these evils.

Only God knows the truth about the origin and the guilty will do everything in their power to keep it that way. But we can rest in Him!

And that is why we need to get our information from resources with full bibliographic citations of their sources.

Although I appreciate your questions, I do work in research. There are first tier journals and then lesser ones. The information in the highest quality publications is peer reviewed, examined and dissected for accuracy and reproducibility. They are not beholden to the funding source of the researchers. There are many lesser publications that will publish whatever you submit if you pay them! I think that is where the confusion is coming from. Every conspiracy theorist with a few dollars can get their article published somewhere. The media is willing to sensationalize. I’m taking my info from the experts at CDC (who although they receive federal funding are not part of the government and do not kowtow to the administration. They state that there are no indications that the virus is anything other than a natural occurring mutation. As for the rapid spread – we are a global community.

Thank you so much for your thoughts. There is so much information out there, it is hard to sort out what is true and what isn’t. Shouldn’t the tests on the RNA string be somewhat similar? It seems to me that there should not be so much disagreement between the scientists!

Truth! So well written. Thank you for explaining this serious topic with such clear logic. As our news outlets will not be doing this for us…May we think. Think for ourselves at this critical time. God bless you for your heart for truth!

There are too many versions based on political views. That’s why it’s a mess.

Yes, I believe so too! I just want the facts, not some skewed version of them. As one person commented, Let’s let the truth speak for itself! Hope you and your son are well!
