“If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves,
and pray and seek My face,
and turn from their wicked ways,
then I will hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin,
and heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14

Thank you for the reminder to pray and seek God’s face.
True believers need to get back to STUDYING the Bible alone. It speaks for itself. Beware of commentaries.
I am seeing a LOT of heresies and deception from so-called mainline Christian churches and publications lately, heresies that are accelerating at an alarming rate. We must “seek God’s face” in His Word alone. The only way to spot the counterfeit is to be thoroughly familiar with the True. That is the responsibility of every true believer.

Excellent thoughts….it is not enough to turn away from evil, we must seek God!

I do derive some solace, however, from the lack of violence on the floor of the Senate. Nobody is attempting to kill another member of Congress, as Representative Preston Brooks did to Senator Charles Sumner in 1856. Sumner eventually recovered and returned to work. State legislatures across the South named counties after Brooks. Georgia, where I live, was one of those states.

Yes, I know it’s been worse, but we must strive to have political representatives that are not full of vitriol for each other!

Abraham Lincoln… Exactly how we should live. Sigh… If only this is remembered and reinforced. 🌺 🌻 🤗
