Ravenna, ancient capital of the Roman and Byzantine Empires, speaks to me through its mosaics. The beauty of the tiles enhanced with gold brings the light of each story to life. It is a city filled with history and energy…its past speaks to its present. Always beautiful, always spiritual in its art.

My son insisted that we visit Ravenna last year… unfortunately, I was very sick with a virus the day we were there. After seeing your beautiful photograph and reading your descriptive recommendation, I’m going to have to go back now for sure!! 🙂
