I remember my childhood, Wednesday bible class, and to get a gift, we children had to blindly reach into a bag and receive whatever came up. But first, each of us had to say a bible verse. I was never detected for saying the same verse every Wednesday (instead of learning a new one)… My repeated verse was John 3:16!

I’ve never seen this Dali painting. I think it’s the best rendition of the Crucifixion and what it means that I’ve ever seen.

It is my favorite. There are no nails holding Him up…only love! The six mountains are the six continents!

Beautiful. and I can see all of our sin and shame, pain and fear, brokenness and guilt losing it’s power even as He hung there…..seemingly helpless….but He was fighting the battle for us……and He Won it all…….Hallelujah! The power of the cross has won the victory over death, the devil and the grave……can I get an Amen?
