“For unto us a child is born,

unto us a son is given,

and the government shall be upon his shoulder;

and his name shall be called Wonderful,

Counselor,

The Mighty God,

The Everlasting Father,

The Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end,

upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it,

and to establish it with justice and with righteousness

from henceforth even forever.

The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”

Isaiah 9:6-7 (KJV)

Lord Jesus, as we reflect on Your First Advent, we await Your Second Advent when You shall truly bring peace to the earth and the restoration of all things. Amen

BLESSINGS OF THE SEASON TO ALL!!!

  1. Jesus’ presence within us has always guided us to peace and for the future. We still miss sensitivity and love to realize how much He accompanies us and helps us in a better life. This is where peace and love dwell and I am happy to rest where He is. I wish you and your family, Valerie, the presence of our Lord among you todso the days and may always spread the wait for life among us.

  2. Father Raymond E. Brown, one of the eminent scholars of the New Testament in the twentieth century, wrote in one of his tomes, “Introduction to the New Testament,” that there was, according to the Roman Empire, already a Son of God and Savior of the world–Augustus. But, in the Gospel of Luke, the angels sang only for Jesus. This story helps to set up the theme of Kingdom of God vs. Roman Empire in Luke-Acts.
