Which Tree are You Eating From?

From the very beginning, God gave man a choice of eating from two trees. Our very existence would be determined by the tree we ate from. Before we decide which tree to eat from, we should probably look at the fruit that each one offers and the consequences from eating from each tree.

  1. You’ve stated the choice out there simply, and accurately. We choose, and have to take responsibility for that choice. I hope, in these troubled times, more will choose wisely.

  2. Yes Val!! Amen! Mother Teresa used the titles “tree of love” and “tree of fear” to separate out those motivators, but the same rules apply!! So on my heart this week. All our decisions boil down to either love or fear; you could even say God or self?

  3. Hi Valerie!
For some reason when I went to your blog in the past, and again today, I saw an older post and thought you were no longer blogging. My mistake, as perhaps you have a post pinned to your home page and I misunderstood. At any rate, glad to see you are actively posting and my wife and I have appreciated your comments very much!

Eternal Life or Eternal Death. Hmmm – let me think about that. Okay, I choose Life! My attempt at humor aside, you did a great job of clearly stating the reality of the choice. I think of the decisions Christian had to make in John Bunyan’s “The Pilgrim’s Progress” on his quest to reach the Celestial City. There are so many decisions in our quest to follow Jesus. Reading His word, prayer and listening to the inner voice of the Holy Spirit is critical in those decisions.

    Blessings in Christ,
    John and Cindy
